We are currently carrying out development work at Teesdale Barnard Castle Society Campsite to provide more pitches for members. We are adding 10 brand new hardstanding pitches and 10 Serviced Pitches. All works are existence carried out in the adjacent field and are anticipated to exist available for use from May 2022 .
Fifty-fifty though this site is located just half a mile from the market town of Barnard Castle, Teesdale Barnard Castle Club Campsite is gear up in open countryside that is designated an Area of High Landscape Value. Barnard Castle is a delightful boondocks, habitation to the renowned Bowes Museum, a 12thC castle, an excellent visitor centre and a choice of pubs and restaurants.
Barnard Castle as well marks the entrance to Teesdale which offers spectacular scenery following the river up to Loftier Force and a series of other waterfalls to its source beyond the Pennine Manner and Cow Green Reservoir.
The valley of Teesdale is prime walking and cycling state for those that love the outdoors, offering a wide variety of terrains to suit all abilities. Enjoy walks along the Teesdale Way, or shorter walks in the local surface area. For the less energetic, there are many places of involvement nearby. The area's main asset is its unspoilt tranquillity.

Please merely use the post-obit advised routes. From West: leave A66 dual carriageway via slip road onto A67 (signposted Barnard Castle); in iii.5 miles at T-junction turn left onto B6277 (signposted Middleton-in-Teesdale); proceed over single file span; site on left in about 0.five mile. From East: ignore first right hand turning (signposted Barnard Castle) from A66 after Greta Bridge; exit A66 dual carriageway at Cross Lanes via gap in central reservation onto B6277 (signposted Barnard Castle); continue directly over at traffic calorie-free following the B6277. The Site is on the left in about 0.5 mile. Please drive slowly and do care on entry to the site.

A very pleasant stay

The site was very make clean and well run, the toilet facilities as well very clean The pitches are all maintained and spacious Avery pleasant stay, and volition revisit Thanks to all the wardens

The site was absolutely fantastic, from booking in to leaving ,we were made to experience welcome. The town of Barnard Castle is very quaint. In that location are too walks nearby. We will definitely exist dorsum. Thank you

Teesdale Barnard Castle Guild Campsite
We visited this excellent site again for 7 nights on a serviced pitch and once more enjoyed the location and facilities. The wardens maintain the site and its facilities to an splendid standard. The location, 1/2 mile from Barnard Castle and in the cute Tees valley make this a wonderful destination. The extension of the site with a further 10 fully serviced pitches and 10 standard pitches volition further increment its popularity in 2022 and we shall take no hesitation in returning.

Just wanted to give thanks friendly wardens Chris and Carol who were absolutely vivid and helped us get through a situation terminal week when we had trouble with our caravan which resulted in needing a recovery dorsum home. Chris and Carol were both very knowledgeable and helpful and are an absolute credit to the Caravan Club. Give thanks You !

What a lovely site

Very friendly and helpful wardens absolutely spotless pitches and toilet cake Just downwards side merely information technology'southward not caravan club information technology would exist nice for a proper foot path down in to Barnard castle
